amazing what a year can hold

In a year, we have gained 15lbs, and 12 inches. We are walking, nearly running, climbing on EVERYTHING. We can say Mommy, Daddy, Hi, very clearly, and with a little interpretation Plane, Train, book, car, truck. It really is amazing what has happened. Caleb is growing so fast, and changing every day. His appetite is great, and he tries new food with gusto.

I am loving being a stay at home mom, and while there are challenges it is the most rewarding job I have ever had.

9-27-10

This week holds Doctor appointments, a luncheon with a friend, and possibly coffee with a new friend. It is a busy week. One appointment has me nervous and yet is a necessity, I have put it off for nearly 7 months, and finally got the courage up to go.  The results will tell us whether or not we will have anymore children. Caleb is a blessing beyond doubt, and if he is our only child, then I thank the heavens that he is here.

My new life role as mom

On March 6th of this year, my wonderful husband and I welcomed our son into this world. We knew that our lives would change, and yet in some aspects it hasn't. Caleb was born 5 weeks early weighing a mere 5 pounds. His birth was relatively easy considering the hours of non-progressive labor. I wouldn't trade a single moment of it though. He spent two weeks in the hospitals NICU before coming home. We shopped for preemie clothes, got lots of blankets and tried to prepare ourselves for him to come home. I never expected the emotional roller coaster that ensued when he came home. I have felt major ups, and extreme downs, I have laughed so hard it hurt, and cried so hard my eyes have stung.
